Read this sentence then stop for 10 seconds and ask yourself what you think the three most important elements to the game of golf are. Four, three, two, one...
Ok, now I will list mine in the order of importance.
Driving the golf ball in play. Putting the golf ball with consistent speed control (distance). Pitching the golf ball with loft. Today we are going to concentrate on what I consider the MOST important aspect to the game of golf, DRIVING THE GOLF BALL IN PLAY. This aspect of the game is ...

Many people every year decide to try their hand at a new sport. However, it is not always as easy as dropping by the local park for a game of drop in football. What if a person wants to learn to play hockey? Or if someone has just moved into a new house near a golf course and wants to pick up some pointers on how to play, and get the most use out of their new location? Finding sports instruction can be a challenge, but it doesn't have to be. Knowing where to look is half the battle.
First, ...

Why Stay Active?
Many Scientific studies have revealed that a long and healthy
life may be directly related to a person's level of exercise
activity. A large number of studies have been done, over the
years, where groups of subjects participated in various forms of
exercise methods in an organized fashion. What scientists try to
determine is, if in fact exercise produces any benefits in
humans.
During some of these trials, for example, subjects were exposed
to the same exercise activities, ...

Richard Branson , world renowned adventurer, extreme sports enthusiast and entrepreneur, was incredibly impressed with his first visit to Squamish BC, The Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada. 'This place is amazing! I'm definitely coming back some time to do more kite surfing!' exclaimed Branson after a 40 minute kite surfing ride in strong winds off the Squamish Spit against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains and the monolithic rock climbing playground of the Stawamus Chief.

Over the years there has been much conjecture over the
importance of cue power for breaking balls or applying english,
etc.. Some players have thought that a heavy cue would make them
break better. Thank goodness, most players have finally been
educated to the reality that a lighter cue is more powerful. A
fact that has been repeatedly proven by the Meucci Staff and
other players in breaking contests over the years - ever since I
first introduced the use of a radar gun at tournaments in ...

COLLECTING sports collectibles or sports memorabilia, antique
or modern, is limited by two factors: the money available and
the space to be filled. Having determined these basic
essentials, it is then a personal matter. The taste of the
collector may lead to Baseball Memorabilia, Basketball
Memorabilia, Football Memorabilia, Golf Memorabilia, NASCAR
memorabilia, Diecast Collectibles, Bobble Heads, Hero Posters,
or innumerable other things. The lucky acquisition of an admired
piece may lead to ...

a href http://www.playcroquet.com/index.php>Croquet is a
classic yard game that has been played for centuries all over
Europe. A game similar to croquet is believed to have been
played in Ancient Rome. The current version of croquet, however,
originated in about the 14th century by French peasants who used
wooden mallets to hit wooden balls through wickets made from
willow branches. Croquet became popular in Ireland in the early
eighteen hundreds and transferred to England around 1851. ...

Everyone who has visited or lived in the Twin Cities during this
time of year knows how ridiculously cold it can get. What almost
no one can figure out in Minnesota and around the NBA is the
deep freeze the Timberwolves have plunged into.
Kevin McHale, Minnesota's VP of Basketball Operations, finally
took his team's temperature on Saturday and decided to call 911.
Actually, he called long time Timberwolves coach and longer time
friend Flip Saunders to inform him he was being relieved of ...

Every dad that is a sports fan would love a gift from their
favorite team or sports figure for father's day. Getting them
the perfect gift is sometimes a hard thing to figure out but I
have it down to a science. Here are some things to take into
mind before buying a gift for a Dad.
1) Find out their favorite sport or favorite sports team always
helps in making a decision.
2) The sport's fan size for apparel or headwear is very
Important. Think about a custom fit hat, you wouldn't want to

If you have been diagnosed with adult onset type II Diabetes,
you may be able to control your condition through diet and
exercise. Many people have genetic predispositions for adult
onset diabetes, but the disease is usually brought on by poor
diet and a sedentary lifestyle. It can be hard to reverse the
damage caused by years of unhealthy living, but by changing the
way you eat and exercise, you can help control your disease and
can lead a fairly normal life without the need ...

So you're overweight, "fat"--to be honest--and you want to start
exercising. Before you take off like an overlarge airplane and
start preparing for the Olympics trials, stop right there. You
may have it all figured out by now, after checking with your
friends, the media and finally that fickle fiend known as the
bathroom mirror, that a regular exercise program is the only way
to fly when it comes to permanent weight loss. That entails
working out or otherwise flexing your physical and ...

Callused, rough feet and hands are a common problem for

hands are not in top shape, it's a silent factor that hurts a
player's game. Carol J. Buck, CEO of Xenna Corporation, says, "A
number of top professional football and basketball teams have
used our products to keep their feet and hands in top condition,
including the New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis
Colts, Miami Dolphins, San Antonio Spurs and Orlando Magic."

Golf is a sport in which individual players or teams of players strike a ball into a hole using several types of clubs. Golf is one of the few ball games that does not use a fixed, standardized playing field or area; defined in the Rules of Golf as "playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules.

Everyone has a sport. Some people are into team sports, others
are into individual sports. Each sport has its own rules and
regulations, and each sport requires its own set of equipment.
Whether it is soccer, basketball, tennis, or golf, you'll be
required to invest in equipment that is particular to the sport.
This sports equipment might be balls, racquets, bats, clubs, or
specific clothing, but also includes safety items and peripheral
items, such as clothes and hats.
New or used sports ...

Have you ever wondered why so many Americans are starting to
take up golf? This is a sport where, in most cases, only one
person can be declared the winner and yet, millions of people
are out there each and every day trying to improve their game.
Millions of dollars are spent every year on the latest gadget,
from swing trainers to instructional videos all to drop a few
strokes.
Sure, there are a ton of different tournaments each year and the
same golfer doesn't win them all. Even Tiger Woods ...

If you're new to the sport, and just about to take lessons for
the first time, it can help to know what exactly you're playing
with. While even casual sports watchers have heard the terms
wood, iron and drivers, not everyone knows exactly what they
are, or why they're important to a particular part of your game.
In golf, the rules permit 14 clubs in a bag. Two are usually
personal favorites, but the 12 basic clubs are: three woods- 1
drive, 3 and 5, eight irons- 3-9 plus a pitching wedge, and ...

Four years ago I moved home from the UK to France. As a keen
golfer and newly retired I was keen to live near a good golf
club with a course that I would enjoy and be able to play as I
grew older and a club where I could make friends. Fortunately, I
found both with Granville Golf Club in Normandy. A classic links
course originally designed by Harry Colt. I have made lots of
friends and am now chair of the greens committee or, as we say
in French, President de la Commission du Terrain.

Is croquet a sport, or more of just a recreational activity for
people to play in their backyards, or both it be both a
competitive sport and recreation. Croquet was actually once
played as a competitive sport in the Olympics. It began to get
popular in the late eighteen hundreds, sharing fields or courses
with tennis. Tennis eventually beat out croquet as the more
popular sport, and croquet was dropped from the Olympic Games.
Currently tennis is a very popular competitive sport, while many

Golf swing improvement can be elusive for most golfers. I have
read many articles and studies on the huge number of golfers
quitting the game every year. They are tired of putting in the
time, buying equipment, taking lessons, and purchasing every
golf training aid on the market only to see no golf swing
improvement.
You can't fault a frustrated golfer who experiences the above
and quits. Life is too short to spend 5 hours on a golf course
and not enjoy it.
Let's discuss why this happens!

When we say to people that you need the same skills to be a
successful golfer as you do meditator it usually raises a huge
laugh. Golf and meditation are miles apart. Some often suggest
that in hitting the perfect Golf shot you need to be in a
focussed meditative state, but that's as far as it gets.
What do you think?
I know. You think we're crazy. But let's look at the evidence.
Let's just look at what's needed to be a successful meditator
and you can decide whether the same skills and ...

Some golf beginners think that all they have to do is copy Ernie

I am sorry to say, it is just not that easy. If it were then
everybody would be a lot better. This, as we see every time out
on the course is not so much the case.
In reality, no two people ever really swing the same way. Since
each of us has a unique body build, some more unique than
others, we need to develop our own individual set of ...

Although I was never picked for sports teams as a kid, I always
thought that golf would be far easier than all the others as it
required very little physical exertion in regards to chasing a
ball up and down a field for 90 minutes while opponents try to
take the legs out from under you.
I mean, how difficult could it be? You stand still, look at the
hole at the other end of the green, look at the ball and then
hit it as hard as you can with a metal or wooden club. Even
better, once you do, you ...

Golf nutrition is still a relatively new concept. However,
everybody knows that leading athletes in the NBA and NFL quite
often have special diets and specific nutrition programs to help

The reasons who golf nutrition is still in it's' infancy in the
golf game is easy to see. To start with nutrition in sports goes
hand in hand with the training and physical exercise program for
the particular sport. In golf, exercises are still a very new
concept although many ...
